Work with me in 2026

About · collaboration

I'm a freelance product editor in Copenhagen, working mainly in housing, civic and EdTech products. An engagement may include interviews, transcript analysis, information structure, product copy and review with design or engineering. The handoff explains the decisions, sources and unanswered questions.

I work in Danish (B1), English (B1-B2) and Russian. I edit so a new reader can act. I do not write as a native copywriter.

A quick polish pass without access to the flow, audience or evidence is a different service.

What this is for

The common starting point is a flow that makes sense in an internal demo and loses a new reader. Typical collaborators are product leads, kommune and NGO teams, and founders in Copenhagen or remote-first Europe.

How I work

I begin with the person using the product and the situation around the screen. Early work looks like research: interviews, field notes, support material and the gap between what a team believes it explained and what a reader can act on.

Danskertesten.dk

Citizenship exam prep at danskertesten.dk, for the moment when the state has explained everything and the person still does not know what to do. Read the case study.

Ventelistevalg

A Copenhagen and Frederiksberg andelsbolig desk: join, skip, renew, leave, dated facts. Not a waitlist map. Public site still at andelsplan.dk. Read the case study.

How to start

Email dima@dmitrii.dk or write on LinkedIn. Name on the message: Dmitrii Babinov.

One useful filter before a call: I need access to the user task and the product flow, plus enough context to judge what the copy needs to do.
